Día 1. La Paz - Jurikota Lagoon - Ventanani Glacier - La Paz

We depart at 7:00 a.m. from downtown La Paz in private transportation, crossing the Bolivian Altiplano while enjoying magnificent views of the Cordillera Real in the distance. After approximately two and a half hours of driving, we arrive at the beautiful Jurikhota Lake (4,700 m), the starting point of our hike.

After admiring the crystal-clear waters of the lake and preparing our backpacks, we begin a three-hour hike along a scenic trail that follows the shoreline and gradually ascends through glacial moraines and rocky terrain. As we gain altitude, the surrounding mountain views become increasingly spectacular.

Our first stop is the picturesque Slovenia Lake, a beautiful Andean gem surrounded by rocky peaks, where we will have time to rest and take in the scenery. We then continue our ascent to reach the impressive Ventanani Glacier (5,040 m), one of the hidden treasures of the Cordillera Real.

In this magnificent setting, we will have time to relax, take photographs, and admire the remarkable ice formations. From here, we can also enjoy panoramic views of Pico Austria in the distance and the imposing silhouette of Condor Head with its distinctive right wing.

While enjoying the surroundings, we will have a snack to replenish our energy before beginning the descent. Thanks to the favorable terrain, the return hike to Jurikhota Lake takes approximately half the time required for the ascent.

Finally, we board our private vehicle for the return journey to La Paz, taking with us unforgettable memories of a day spent among glacial lakes and some of the most spectacular landscapes in Bolivia's Cordillera Real.
