Lake Titicaca is an important tourist and pilgrimage center in Bolivia because of the church where the miraculous Virgin of Copacabana is located. This lake is the highest navigable lake in the world of which 44% belongs to Bolivia and within it there are several islands, among them the most important for being the cradle where the Incas emerged is the Isla del Sol.

DÍA 1.

We depart from La Paz on a tourist bus for a 3.5-hour journey to the charming city of Copacabana. Upon arrival, we will visit the iconic Copacabana Cathedral, renowned for its colonial architecture and cultural significance. From there, we stroll down the souvenir street, filled with local crafts and artisanal goods, until we reach the shores of the stunning Lake Titicaca to enjoy a delightful lunch.

After lunch, we board a boat to Sun Island, a place steeped in history and natural beauty. Upon arrival, we ascend the famous Inca Steps, which lead to the Fountain of Eternal Youth. Following this enchanting experience, we walk to our hostel to drop off our belongings and rest.

In the evening, we hike to the Pallakasa viewpoint to witness a breathtaking sunset over the lake. After soaking in the views, we return to the hostel for a dinner and rest for the night.

DÍA 2

After enjoying breakfast at the hostel, we set off on a walk to another stunning viewpoint, offering a breathtaking 360° view of Lake Titicaca and its surroundings.

Next, we descend to the historic Temple of the Sun, where we’ll explore the fascinating ruins and delve deeper into the island’s rich Inca heritage.

From there, we take a boat back to Copacabana, where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before boarding the bus for our return journey to La Paz, concluding this unforgettable adventure in La Paz at 18:00.
