Lake Titicaca is an important tourist and pilgrimage center in Bolivia because of the church where the miraculous Virgin of Copacabana is located. This lake is the highest navigable lake in the world of which 44% belongs to Bolivia and within it there are several islands, among them the most important for being the cradle where the Incas emerged is the Isla del Sol.
We leave La Paz on a tourist bus to the city of Copacabana for 3.5 hours. Approximately, we arrive and leave our luggage at the hostel, we go out to lunch, in the afternoon we will visit the Copacabana church, if you are very energetic we will go up to the Calvary of Copacabana (4020 m). We return to the hostel where we spent the first night.
After breakfast, we take the boat for 1.5 hours. to go to the Sun Island , where we will walk up the Inca Stairs, to the fountain of eternal youth. We continue walking to our hostel. We have lunch and in the afternoon we walk to the temple of the sun and return to the hostel to spend the night.
After breakfast, we walk to the Pallakasa viewpoint where we can see the lake at 360˚, we go down to the shores and take the boat to go to the Moon Island where we would be able to visit the ruins, later, we return by boat to Copacabana where we will have a delicious lunch, then we take the bus return to La Paz
