VALLE DE LAS ÁNIMAS

Half day

The petrified valley!

The Valley of Souls, located south of La Paz city just 11.7 kilometers away and at 3,800 meters above sea level, is an impressive canyon with unique geological formations that appear to be sculpted by time itself. This serene environment invites reflection and spiritual revitalization, deepening appreciation for Bolivia’s rich natural and cultural heritage.

It is a place full of giant obelisks of sandy clay, formed thanks to erosion over time. These formations give the appearance of petrified spirits that when the wind blows, strange sounds can be heard.

From the beginning of the hike, you can admire the towering natural obelisks, symbols of Pachamama, and explore hidden trails leading to natural viewpoints with breathtaking views of the valley. An ideal destination for photography enthusiasts, nature lovers, and hiking aficionados.
