Highlights

Throughout the hike, you will visit and admire beautiful high-Andean lagoons such as Jurikota and Chiarkota, as well as distant views of Tuni and Milluni lagoons, in addition to numerous smaller lagoons that accompany the route.

Along the way, it is common to encounter llamas and alpacas, an essential part of the Andean landscape, while enjoying an impressive view of the west face of Huayna Potosí, one of Bolivia’s most iconic snow-capped peaks.

Technicality

It is a moderate-level hike that does not require the use of technical equipment. However, good physical endurance is necessary to move from one camp to another due to the elevation gains and mountain passes we will cross.

  • Maximum altitude: 5,350 m
  • Maximum elevation gain:750 meters

This is a slightly longer adventure with some challenges along the way, making it an ideal experience for those seeking a rewarding high-altitude trek.
