THE CULTURE NEAR TITICACA LAKE!

Tiwanaku is an ancient archaeological city of Bolivia, capital of the Tiahuanacota State, located 21 kilometers southeast of Lake Titicaca in the Altiplano region. This culture is considered the oldest in South America, since it was acquired since 1500 BC. C. until the year 1000 AD. C. Now you can appreciate the magnificence of what its architecture was; The different artistic and technological expressions speak for themselves of their high degree of perfection, gigantic steles achieved with a single block of stone, stepped terraces that made the immense pyramids possible and all the temples of this city were astronomically oriented.

Huatajata is a community located 87 km from La Paz, towards Copacabana, it stands out for its reed rafts and for having one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Lake Titicaca.

DAY 1.
We leave at 07:30 from the city of La Paz towards the town of Tiwanaku in 2 hours approximately by transport, we visit the Lithic museum, the Ceramic museum and finally the Archaeological Site where we can appreciate the Akapana pyramid, Kantatallita, the semi-subterranean temple where we will witness more than 200 nail heads, the lithic sculptures that are found within the Kalasasaya such as the Puerta del Sol, the Ponce monolith, the Fraile monolith and finally we head to the ruins of Puma Punku. After this visit we continue the trip to Huatajata to eat a delicious lunch on the shores of Lake Titicaca, later we  visit the Totora museum where we listen to the local guide explanation the great expeditions that his family made, we will see documentation, photographs and boats in a small scale, crafts made from totora and alpaca.

After finishing the visit, we boarded the Totora boat for a ride on Lake Titicaca. Finally, we return with our private transportation to the city of La Paz.
