Lake Titicaca is an important tourist and pilgrimage center in Bolivia because of the church where the miraculous Virgin of Copacabana is located. This lake is the highest navigable lake in the world of which 44% belongs to Bolivia and within it there are several islands, among them the most important for being the cradle where the Incas emerged is the Isla del Sol.
We leave La Paz on a tourist bus to the city of Copacabana for 3.5 hours. approximately, where we will visit the cathedral of Copacabana, we go down the souvenir street to near the shores of the lake to have lunch. Then we take the boat to go to the Sun Island, where we will climb the steps of the Inca, up to the fountain of eternal youth. We continue walking to our hostel. We go to Pallakasa viewpoint to watch the sunset and come back for dinner.
After breakfast, we walk to the other viewpoint, where we can see the lake at 360. Then we go down to the Temple of the Sun, where we take the boat to return to the city of Copacabana, have a lunch and then take the bus back to La Paz.
