Lake Titicaca es an important tourist and pilgrimage center in Bolivia because of the church where the miraculous Virgin of Copacabana is located. This lake is the highest navigable lake in the world of which 44% belongs to Bolivia and it has several islands, among them, the most important for being the cradle where the Incas emerged is the Isla del Sol.

itinerary

Day 1

We meet in the city center at 7:00 am. to take our tourist bus to Copacabana 3.5 hr. approximately, we visit the cathedral of Copacabana and the chapel of candles, then we go near the shores of the lake to have lunch. After lunch we go to the boats that take us to the Isla del Sol for 1.5 hours sailing. We arrive at the southern part of the  Sun Island where we begin by climbing the Inca Stairs to the fountain of eternal youth. Then we walk to the Ruins of Pilcocaina 1 h. approximately, we visit inside and outside this ruin, few minutes later we take the boat back to Copacabana, then we take the bus to La Paz, we are in La Paz around 21:45
